There’s something magical about getting your hands inky and creating something lovely. Which is what we did our collagraph printing workshop with artist Rachel Craddock.
We set up a long plywood table, grabbed some chairs and hosted in the back area of our shop. The workshop brought together a wonderful mix of ages, Collagraph is perfect for both children and adults.

For most it was their first introduction to this printmaking technique, so it was great to see the cogs turning and the ideas coming to life!
Rachel began the session with a quick overview of her own creative process, sharing how she builds her plates using everything from lace to leaves. She walked us through the steps of constructing our own collagraph plates — layering, cutting, gluing, and making lots of super shapes.

It was time to ink them up and print! Watching the colours emerge as you peel back the plate was really fun!
A huge thank you to Rachel for sharing her time, talent, and love of printmaking with us.
